Kananaskis Falls

Kananaskis Falls on the Bow River before Calgary Power built the Horseshoe Dam at Seebe in 1911 . Rob Alexander collection.

Before Calgary Power began construction on the Horseshoe Dam in 1911. The Kananaskis River joined the Bow River a short distance upstream of Kananaskis Falls.

The falls were drowned once the dam was completed.
