Canmore-born Alex Kaleta of the Chicago Blackhawks

There’s an excellent posting about Alex Kaleta on Joe Pelletier’s Greatest Hockey Legends website. Alex was one of Canmore’s many hockey players who went from backyard rinks to the NHL. Thanks Tanya for pointing out the website! If you like hockey, it’s worth a read as a Alex is  attributed as being the man behind the term “hat-trick.” And the great thing about Canmore is that as much as it has changed, there’s still Kaletas, including Alex’s sister, Millie, who call this former-coal mining town home.
