Kananaskis Falls
Before Calgary Power began construction on the Horseshoe Dam in 1911. The Kananaskis River joined the Bow River a short distance upstream of Kananaskis Falls. The falls were drowned once the dam was completed.
Canmore Model School
The 1922 Canmore Model School was the first building on the north side of the Bow River, known as Townside, to have electric lights. This school was demolished in 1992. © Rob Alexander 2011
